Payment Options at UpPlus Physiotherapy
At UpPlus Physiotherapy, we offer a range of convenient payment options to suit your needs. Whether you’re paying through private health insurance, a government health scheme, or a workers' compensation claim, we aim to make the payment process as simple and straightforward as possible. Below are the payment methods we accept:
Private Health Funds – HICAPS for Fast Claims
We accept Private Health Funds through HICAPS, allowing you to process claims on the
spot for the majority of Private Health Funds. This means that you can use your health
insurance to claim for physiotherapy services directly at the clinic, reducing the
out-of-pocket expense immediately. After the claim is processed, you will be required to
pay any gap (the difference between the health fund rebate and the total fee) by cash,
cheque, or EFTPOS at the time of your appointment.
Concession Discounts
At UpPlus Physiotherapy, we offer special concession discounts
for clients holding a Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or
a Health Care Concession Card. If you hold a valid concession
card, simply present it at reception when you arrive for your
appointment to receive your discount.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
If you are a DVA client and hold a Gold Card or a White Card
for specific conditions, you can access our physiotherapy
services with ease. All that is required is a current General
Practitioner (GP) referral. Once at the clinic, simply sign
upon attendance, and we will directly invoice the Department
of Veterans’ Affairs for your treatment.
Medicare – Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPC)
If you have a chronic condition or complex medical needs, you may be eligible for Medicare-covered physiotherapy under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. Eligible patients can receive up to five physiotherapy consultations per year through Medicare.
To make use of this service, please bring the following documents to your initial consultation: - GP referral with care plan paperwork (GP management plan and team care arrangements).
At UpPlus Physiotherapy, we offer 30-minute EPC consultations,
which are payable in full at the completion of the session.
The Medicare rebate will be reimbursed directly to your
preferred savings or cheque account, leaving you with only a
small gap payment. In some cases, 20-minute bulk-billed EPC
consultations may be available. This option can be discussed
on a case-by-case basis with your physiotherapist prior to
booking your appointment.
WorkCover
If you’ve been injured at work, WorkCover claims can be processed directly with your insurance provider. To access treatment under WorkCover, we will need copies of the following documentation:
- Date of injury
- Prescribed medical certificate
- Claim number
- Name of your insurance claims consultant
Once the required paperwork is provided, we’ll take care of billing directly to your WorkCover insurance agent.
Compulsory Third Party – Motor Vehicle Accidents
If you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims are billed directly to the insurer once your claim has been accepted. To ensure smooth processing of your claim, please bring the following paperwork:
- Date of accident
- Claim number
- Name of your insurance claims consultant
Once the necessary documentation is on file, we will invoice the insurer for your treatment.
