You may be eligible for physiotherapy services if you:
- Hold a Veteran White Card and are seeking treatment for an accepted service-related condition.
- Hold a Veteran Gold Card, or
A referral is required from one of the following:
- Your GP
- Medical specialist
- Treating doctor in hospital
- Hospital discharge planner

How to Access DVA Physiotherapy
1. Obtain a referral from a GP, specialist, treating hospital doctor, or discharge planner.
2. UpPlus Physiotherapy will:
- Confirm your eligibility
- Assess your clinical needs
- Develop a personalised treatment plan
Note: From 1 October 2019, DVA referrals are issued under the Allied Health Services treatment cycle, allowing up to 12 sessions or 1 year, whichever comes first.
Cost of Treatment
There is no out-of-pocket cost. UpPlus Physiotherapy directly bills the DVA for all services provided.
How Many Visits Are Covered?
Coverage varies for each veteran. After your first visit, we can contact DVA on your behalf to confirm the number of sessions available.
