Neck pain is one of the most common reasons people come to see us, and it is rarely just the neck at fault. Desk posture, sleep position, stress and old injuries all feed into it. Most cases settle well with hands-on treatment and a targeted exercise plan.

What we treat

  • Postural and desk-related neck pain
  • Whiplash and other motor vehicle injuries
  • Cervicogenic headaches (headaches driven by the neck)
  • Wry neck and acute locked neck
  • Disc and nerve-related arm pain
  • Neck-related dizziness

Signs and symptoms

  • Stiffness or restricted turning, often worse in the morning
  • Aching that spreads into the shoulder blade or upper back
  • Headaches starting at the base of the skull
  • Pins and needles or weakness travelling into the arm or hand
  • Pain that flares after long periods at a screen

How we treat it

  • Hands-on joint mobilisation and soft tissue release
  • Dry needling for persistent muscle tension
  • Deep neck flexor and postural strengthening
  • Workstation and sleep position review
  • A graded return to full movement and load

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Symptoms overlap between conditions, so the right treatment depends on an assessment. If your pain followed a significant injury, is getting worse, or comes with numbness, weakness or unexplained weight loss, please see your GP.
