Claiming your ahm rebate at UpPlus

We claim at reception through HICAPS, so your ahm rebate is deducted immediately and you pay only the difference by card. Nothing is posted, nothing is reimbursed weeks later, and you leave with the claim already settled.

How ahm extras handle physiotherapy

ahm's extras are built around picking the services you actually use rather than paying for a broad package, which is what makes them cheaper — and also what makes checking worthwhile. On some ahm covers physiotherapy is included generously; on others it is excluded entirely or capped low.

The number that matters is the benefit per consultation, and after that the annual limit. Both are in your ahm online account. It is a five-minute check that decides whether a course of treatment costs you very little or a fair amount, so it is worth doing before the first visit rather than the fourth.

Being a Medibank Members' Choice provider does not automatically translate to ahm policies, so we do not claim it does — your ahm benefit is whatever your ahm cover says it is, and we will process the claim either way.
