HCF More for Muscles Physiotherapy in Seaton
HCF More for Muscles provider
A More for Muscles provider — HCF's preferred network for physiotherapy.
UpPlus Physiotherapy is part of HCF's More for Muscles network. More for Muscles is HCF's preferred provider arrangement for physiotherapy and the other musculoskeletal therapies, and it exists because HCF would rather members finished a course of treatment than stopped halfway on cost.
For members on eligible extras cover that typically means a higher benefit — and on some policies no gap at all on an initial consultation. What applies to you depends on the cover you hold, and HCF is the one who can tell you precisely.
We are on Trimmer Parade in Seaton, a short drive from Grange, West Lakes and Findon, and you can book without a referral.
Claiming your HCF rebate at UpPlus
We claim at reception through HICAPS, so your HCF rebate is deducted immediately and you pay only the difference by card. Nothing is posted, nothing is reimbursed weeks later, and you leave with the claim already settled.
- Bring your fund card — the physical card or the one in your fund's app.
- No referral required. Physiotherapy is a direct-access profession in Australia.
- Pay the gap only, by card, on the day.
- Tell us if you are near your annual limit so we can plan treatment around it.

How HCF extras handle physiotherapy
HCF is a not-for-profit, which shows up in how its extras are built: benefits tend to be structured around getting members through a full course of treatment rather than paying generously once and thinly thereafter. Physiotherapy sits within extras cover, so the tier you hold sets your benefit per visit and your annual limit.
More for Muscles sits on top of that. It does not change your annual limit — it changes what HCF pays per consultation while you are being treated inside the network. If you are working through a rehabilitation programme over several weeks, that per-visit difference compounds considerably more than most people expect when they compare policies.
Who HCF covers
HCF is one of Australia's largest not-for-profit funds and is open to everyone — it is not restricted to a particular industry or employer. It also now administers rt health, so an rt health card is claimed through HCF's systems. HCF's online member account shows your remaining physiotherapy limit for the year, which is worth a look before starting treatment rather than partway through it.
rt health is now part of HCF. If you hold an rt health card, your physiotherapy benefits are administered by HCF.
What we treat
Our Seaton clinic on Trimmer Parade sees back and neck pain, shoulder and knee problems, sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, work injuries and persistent pain. Alongside hands-on treatment we offer dry needling, shockwave therapy and hydrotherapy, and we see patients from Grange, West Lakes, Findon, Fulham Gardens and Port Adelaide.
HCF physiotherapy questions
What does More for Muscles actually change?
It is HCF's preferred network for physiotherapy. Members treated inside the network generally receive a higher benefit than they would elsewhere, which lowers what you pay per visit. It does not change your annual limit.
Can I claim HCF on the spot?
Yes, through HICAPS at reception. Your rebate comes off immediately and you pay only the gap by card on the day.
I have an rt health card — can I claim?
Yes. rt health is now part of HCF, so your physiotherapy benefits are administered by HCF and claimed the same way. Bring the card and we will process it at reception.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No. Physiotherapy is a primary contact profession in Australia, so you can book directly with us. A GP referral only becomes relevant when the treatment is funded by Medicare, DVA or WorkCover rather than your private extras.
What if I have already used my annual physiotherapy limit?
You can still be treated — you simply pay the full fee for those visits with no rebate. Tell us if you are close to your limit and we will plan your treatment around it, which usually means spacing visits and giving you more to do at home between them.
Do waiting periods apply to physiotherapy?
Usually yes, on a new policy or after an upgrade. Extras waiting periods for physiotherapy are commonly two months, though this varies by fund and by policy. Your fund can tell you the exact date you become eligible.
Contacting HCF
We can tell you our fee. Only HCF can tell you your rebate, your remaining annual limit and whether any waiting period still applies — so if you want to know your exact out-of-pocket before you book, they are the ones to ask.
